Obama, the internet victor?

Jeff Jarvis points out a couple of interesting facts on his blog: one of Barack Obama's advisors is Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes, and Hillary Clinton can depend on senior citizens. Summary: 1. Obama's popularity on MySpace and Facebook factions led to the higher turnout among young adults in Iowa and New Hampshire; 2. The media and pundits alike underestimated the internet's potential as an effective campaigning machine; 3. Obama raised a lot of money online; 4. Supporters of Hillary Clinton are nostalgic of the Bill Clinton years.
By the way, Jarvis received comments claiming that Obama didn't go to Facebook, Facebook came to him. I think this is hardly the case, with Hughes being part of the Obama camp. [image: Georgia Students for Barack Obama]
